Bianca lives in a small burrow dug between the roots of a huge walnut tree that lies in the middle of the sheep pasture area of a huge farm. I don’t know exactly where this place is, but it’s definitely inside Fantasia country.
The meadow is surrounded by a white wooden fence and the green grass contrasts with the bales of hay piled in almost perfect golden squares that serve as food for the cattle.
He chose this tree because, in addition to providing a lush shade in summer, he loves nuts, so when they fall to the ground he hides them quickly in his warehouse to enjoy this delicious delicacy throughout the year.
The field mouse
Bianca is very small, so much so that the inhabitants of the farm hardly notice her presence.
Its back is silvery gray and its hands and feet pale pink as well as its long tail. He has huge rounded ears and his black eyes are deep and torn.
Every day he wakes up early to clean his little house and go get food.
He has to cross the meadow before the sheep go out to graze, because they are always accompanied by the huge mastiff , it is so big that they call it Bear. Although completely harmless, Bianca is terrified every time she sees him.
When she crosses the fence, she reaches a large stable, where they keep tons of grain, and she stealthily, so that the hens do not make noise, keeps a small pile in her bag and quickly goes back to her little house.
Sometimes he stops to greet his friends the rabbits, who have a cottage with a small garden near the stable.
When he arrives at his tiny home he keeps everything in the kitchen and after eating comes the long afternoon.
She lives alone, the other mice she knows live on the other side of the farm and with the animals loose she is afraid to cross it to visit them. They are also somewhat surly and a little rough for their taste, since Bianca has a good manners and a perfect education.
So she spends her time knitting and observing the world at the door of her little burrow.
She sighs every day to meet someone to keep her company, to talk to and go for a walk.
In case someone appears without warning, collect small flowers to make a bouquet of colors with which adorns the vase that is on the table of the room and thus gives a pleasant aroma to the whole house.
Every night she waits for the moon to appear, because some days it is full and she can see it in its entirety.
She is convinced that it is a huge ball of cheese, what else can it be if she can perfectly see the holes? , also that some very lucky little mice will surely live there.
